Hi, I’m Megan!
I’m a book-obsessed marketing strategist based in the South West of England. For the past six years, I’ve worked in digital marketing, helping organisations and authors connect with the right audiences through thoughtful, strategic campaigns.
My experience spans social media, email marketing, SEO, content strategy and campaign planning. I’ve also supported business owners as they introduced new ventures and ideas, giving me first-hand experience of what it takes to build awareness, create momentum and turn an idea into a clear, effective marketing plan.
Commonplace brings that experience together with my love of books and my passion for championing indie authors.
Today, I help indie fiction authors build meaningful visibility for their books through ARC campaigns, author content strategy, manuscript-led marketing ideas, Bookstagram creator campaigns, and outreach to bookstores, events and media.
You might be preparing for an upcoming release, bringing new attention to your backlist or trying to build a more recognisable author presence. Wherever you are in your publishing journey, my aim is to make marketing feel manageable and less like something you have to figure out alone.
My approach is strategic and community-focused. I don’t believe effective book marketing is about chasing every trend, reaching the biggest possible audience or following the same formula as everyone else. I believe it is about understanding what makes your work distinctive and finding the opportunities that make sense for your books and your readers.
Through Commonplace, I want authors to feel more confident sharing their work and supported as they build visibility that lasts beyond a single release.
